Our Story

Julie joined the Navy in 1997. After finishing Boot Camp in July, she went to Pensacola, FL for technical training. She was enrolled in Cryptologic Technician (Maintenance) "A" School. After completing "A" school in February 1998, Julie was on her way to "C" school in Biloxi, MS to study Communication Information Systems. In July 1998 she arrived in Stuttgart, Germany to begin her Navy career.

Myron had already been in Stuttgart since January 1998 when Julie arrived. He joined the Marine Corps right out of High School in 1994. After completing his technical school, 0151 Administrative Clerk, he was then stationed in Quantico, VA at Officer Candidate School before his tour in Germany.

After being in Stuttgart for a few days, I met some wonderful people in the barracks and they invited me to a dinner at a local restaurant. That's were I met Myron. He sat across from me and there was instant attraction. After dinner we went back to the barracks and talked all night. Honest, we only talked.

After that, it's all history. Julie and Myron married and became the proud parents of the most wonderful kid in the world, Alexander David Craig.

In 2000, we both received orders to commands in San Diego, CA
Julie was stationed with Naval Security Group Activity, San Diego on Naval Air Station, North Island
and Myron with Marine Air Control Group - 38 on Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar.

Myron returned from his second deployment with MACG 38 in the summer of 2004,
upon which we immediately moved to Slidell, LA.
Myron was stationed with Marine Corps Reserve Headquarters.

In August 2005, Hurricane Katrina came directly over New Orleans and Slidell.
After a few days spent in North Little Rock, AK, Myron was called back
to duty - first in Kansas City, MO then back to New Orleans, LA.
Alex and Julie went to Wisconsin to be closer to family.

In 2007 Myron received orders to Marine Corps Recruiting Station Cleveland
and the family reunited in North Olmsted, OH.

Myron is the Admin Chief and all-around go to guy at RS Cleveland.
Julie is a database admin and jack of all trades at Arrow International.
Alex is a spunky 5th grader at Chestnut Intermidiate.
He also is a student with his dad at All American Karate.

We are happy to have Myron's dad living with us
as well as our three canines: Winifred, Cadence and Ruger.
